Space City Siren is proud to be one of the first certified PADI mermaid instructors in the greater Houston area! After mermaiding as a hobby since 2016 I have spent the past year training and becoming certified to offer the gold standard in mermaid certification courses, practicing my performance capabilities, and cultivating my love of underwater photography and videography to be able to offer a unique aspect to all events!
Mermaid parties!
Space city siren has two different options for parties: Dry parties- where you can hire one or more mermaids to be outside of the water for your event who will bring their inflatable clamshell and backdrop for photo opportunities, have interactions with guests, offer mermaid trinkets, and host children’s games when appropriate!
Pool parties- where you can hire one or more mermaids to bring their inflatable clamshell and backdrop for photo opportunities, swim and play with guests, offer Mermaid trinkets, perform tricks in the water, and host children’s games when appropriate! (No mermaid tails allowed for children or guests at parties for safety purposes)

PADI certificates available-
Discovery mermaid- The Discover Mermaid™ experience introduces simple mermaid activities in confined water (i.e., a pool or place with pool-like conditions), shallow enough in which to stand. It is designed as a flexible, informative, enjoyable, and controlled experience centered on letting you discover what it's like to mermaid dive.
Basic mermaid- The PADI Basic Mermaid™ course combines learning supporting knowledge and principles with a confined water skill development session to introduce the fun of fundamental mermaid diving. The course covers mermaid diving's background and culture, primary safety considerations, equipment and basic water skills.
Mermaid- The PADI Mermaid™ course includes knowledge development and at least two water skill sessions that develop more dynamic mermaid skills beyond Basic Mermaid™, including many skills that make mermaiding an underwater self-expressive art, separate from other types of diving.
Advanced mermaid- In the PADI Advanced Mermaid™ course, you'll build on your PADI Mermaid™ certification and apply it to the open water environment. You'll learn the basics of how the open water environment differs from a pool or confined water (larger, deeper, more variable conditions) and be introduced to open water mermaiding techniques. You'll also learn about aquatic life – what to expect, how it can affect you, and how you avoid harm.
Underwater videography sessions
I am now offering underwater videography sessions, where you will be able to pose, swim, and perform tricks in front of the camera. I will be alongside with my GoPro to offer coaching and a dive safety buddy. Cost will be $60 an hour, and I will have mono fins, tail skins, tops, wigs, and accessories available for rent.
